Be-Sugar-FREE!

Sugar has never really agreed well with my body...Mood swings, acting irrationally, loss of concentration. 4 or 5 years ago I eliminated it from my diet completely. But I seem to go through phases when I think a little won't hurt and the little turns to a lot and then I have an emotional melt down and then I swear off of it for the rest of my life...then somehow the stuff creeps back into my life ever so subtly. Well I am at the swearing off of it for the rest of my life phase. I just don't feel strong and certainly not healthy when I consume too much. Here in lies the problem...Sugar is addicting. For me, a little always leads to a lot. It's the same effect processed and refined carbohydrates have. Once you have them your body has a hard time telling you to stop. Well actually you feel your body telling your to keep going because of the release of serotonin while consuming these. Then when you feel the rapid crash afterwards its difficult to not continue feeding the problem to feel satisfied. Once I feel myself trapped on this roller-coaster I know I need to find the exit quick! When sugar has become a daily routine it can be a real struggle to change habits. Most people tell me it's just plain crazy to eliminate sugar from your diet, but I try and tell them to just give it three days. After the third day you will feel a sense of freedom. At least I hope others will feel the same sense of freedom I do. Will you take the three day challenge and share how you feel on the forth day? Do you feel sugar-FREE:)? Of course you can't just take the sugar out and expect all to be well if you haven't taken a good look at the rest of your diet. When I say Sugar-FREE this does not mean that you are loading your body up with artificial sweeteners...Those are just as big of a no-no. Fill your body with WHOLE and REAL food that will nourish and strengthen you!
